
It consists of a shield of arms in the red, black and yellow. The symbols of Alpha, Omega and a Star are incorporated in the crest. Alpha and Omega represent the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, and are often used as symbolic Christian references to the beginning and the end, representing God as an eternal salvation. This emphasizes the religious elements that has been the root of the Christian Brothers ethos for over two hundred years. The star represents the guidance of God to fulfill this journey.[4]
‘Estote Fideles’ meaning ‘Be ye faithful, can be found just under the crest. Again, this ties into the Christian Brothers dedication to their cause and is representative of the school ethos prevalent today in The Row.
