The school has introduced the Transition Year programme as a compulsory programme starting from the academic year 2016. The aim of this programme is to “promote the personal, social, vocational and educational development of students and prepares them for their role as autonomous, participative and responsible members of society” [17]. With this in mind, the school has focused its attention on the students development and their ability to transition into the senior cycle with ease and confidence.
